Drills and Simulations for Crisis Management Team and Emergency Teams

Turning Theory into Practice

No matter how detailed Crisis Management Plans and Emergency Procedures are, every plan that looks perfect on paper can fail in practice. The coordination capability of teams and the feasibility of the plan under high stress, time pressure, and lack of information can only be measured through a realistic simulation.

At SCORE Consultancy, we close this vital gap with specialized Drill and simulation programs designed for the Crisis Management Team (CMT) and Emergency Teams (ADE). Our goal is to ensure that your teams not only "know what to do" but can also "make decisions and execute them correctly and quickly" in a chaotic environment.

🎯 Why is a Drill Indispensable?

Simulations add unique value to the corporate Resilience strategy:

  • Identifying Hidden Gaps: Reveals invisible deficiencies in plans, communication chains, or resource allocation under realistic pressure.

  • Enhancing Team Coordination: Improves vertical and horizontal communication flow and cooperation between the CMT and ADE, building "muscle memory" among the teams.

  • Testing the Decision-Making Mechanism: Measures whether senior management can make rational decisions under pressure due to the strategic impacts of the Crisis.

  • Legal Assurance and Improvement: Drill reports are official documents that prove the validity of the plan and initiate the continuous improvement cycle.

🗺️ SCORE's Multi-Phase Drill Methodology

Our Drills are designed according to international best practices (ISO 22301) and offer a goal-oriented and unbiased evaluation process.

  • Objective Setting and Scenario Design
  • Execution and Observation
  • Evaluation and Improvement (Debriefing)

Phase 1: Objective Setting and Scenario Design

  • Goal-Oriented Design: The purpose of the Drill (e.g., "testing communication protocols" or "measuring IT recovery time") is clarified.

  • Realistic Scenario Development: Challenging and dynamic scenarios (media pressure, cyber attack, supply chain Interruption, etc.) that reflect your sector risks and current technological vulnerabilities are developed, specific to your organization.

Phase 2: Execution and Observation

  • Unbiased Observation: SCORE experts take on the role of observers, recording the teams' performance, the plan's feasibility, and decision-making processes based on unbiased criteria.

  • Creating Dynamic Pressure: During the simulation, new pieces of information ("injects") that alter the course of the event and apply pressure to the team (e.g., "The CEO's flight is delayed," "The media is calling") are instantly provided.

Phase 3: Evaluation and Improvement (Debriefing)

The most critical phase of the Drill is the learning and improvement cycle.

  • Detailed Analysis: Observation records, actions taken by the teams, and the plan's performance are analyzed to find answers to the questions: "what happened?", "why did it happen?", and "how can it be improved?".

  • Debriefing (Feedback Session): An open and constructive feedback session is held with the teams to share lessons learned and determine concrete action steps for plan revision.

  • Final Reporting: A comprehensive report with an executive summary, including identified gaps (GAP) and improvement recommendations, is prepared for submission to the CMT and Senior Management.
